A record-breaking fair, an industry reinventing itself

Organised by the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation, the 2025 show confirmed its status as a global benchmark. With over 60 exhibiting brands – from Rolex to Cartier, Patek Philippe, TUDOR, Chanel, and TAG Heuer – the event is no longer just a showcase of novelties; it has become a living laboratory of luxury, aesthetics, and performance.

Highlights: where technique meets emotion

Two watchmaking brands particularly stood out this year:

  • Bvlgari, for its first participation, set its 10th world record with the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon, the world’s thinnest tourbillon watch (1.85 mm). A demonstration of extreme miniaturisation and watchmaking expertise at its peak.

  • Rolex surprised with the Land-Dweller, which integrates for the first time a high-frequency 5 Hz calibre, illustrating a desire to push mechanical limits while renewing its aesthetic signature.

Lizeo on the ground: immersing in a changing market

For Lizeo, which supports watchmaking brands in optimising their online distribution, this fair is much more than a prestigious event: it is a source of inspiration and an opportunity to observe real-time market dynamics, between product positioning, brand storytelling, and subtle shifts in distribution and customer experience.

As a committed player analysing markets, products, and distribution, Lizeo focuses on understanding the distribution dynamics of watchmaking brands – a sector where showcasing collections, managing brand image, and exclusivity are key factors.

Our presence at Watches and Wonders alongside our partners Valtech and Kerquest enabled us to capture insights from industry players on:

  • The challenges of recommendation and online sales, which underpin the necessary control of online commercial networks for new and second-hand products.
  • And issues surrounding traceability, authenticity, and the fight against counterfeiting, which remain at the core of industry concerns.
